Maximizes the yield of motile sperm and improves the fertilisation potential.
BoviWash is a medium for extending sperm prior to gradient treatment, and for washing the sperm pellet after the density gradient separation. It minimizes sudden pH and osmotic changes during the transition from semen sample to fertilisation medium. It also maximizes the yield of motile sperm and improves the fertilisation potential.
Store at 10-30°C. Under these conditions BoviWash medium has a shelf-life of 12 months. The expiry date is shown on both bottles and cartons.

“Our results indicate that both protocols gave suitable sperm for IVF. This finding and the similarity between those two density gradient preparations suggests that BoviPure is a good alternative for sperm separation in bovine IVF”

“So, we concluded that BoviPure® could be considered as a better alternative to swim up method for separating bull spermatozoa from frozen/thawed semen for IVP of bovine embryos”.

“These results demonstrate that bull semen can be frozen and thawed, followed by a second freeze-thawing cycle of a population of spermatozoa selected by PureSperm®, with retained motility and functional integrity. This points to the possibility of using double frozen spermatozoa in bovine artificial insemination programmes and to the potential benefits of PureSperm® density gradient centrifugation for the application of cryopreserved bull spermatozoa to other biotechnological procedures such as flow cytometric sex sorting followed by re-freezing and thawing.”
